FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Can the Dynamic Neural Retraining System be taught over the phone or by email? Answer: The DNR Training is an experiential workshop that cannot be taught by email or phone. At this time we offer one-on-one training in small groups of ten. As we receive many inquiries, please read the information below and throughout this website before emailing; as this might answer the questions that you may have.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivities: Concern: “I don’t know how I will be in that environment or if it will be safe for me.” Answer: Having experienced first hand how challenging MCS can be, my goal is to create a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for all. Workshop venues are chosen with environmental awareness in mind (e.g. no carpeting, tall ceilings, healthy air flow and absence of use of chemical cleaning products.) There is a strict “NO CHEMICAL” personal hygiene product guideline for all participants of the workshop – all participants are informed of this guideline in advance to ensure a comfortable environment for all. A recommended personal hygiene list is given to all participants to ensure this guideline. If a participant attends and does not abide by this guideline they will be asked to leave and will not be refunded their money. Only non-scented organic products are acceptable. Bring extra sweaters or blankets in case we need to open windows for greater air flow. Do whatever you need to in order to be as comfortable as you can during the workshop. Your brain is in the process of building new pathways to optimal health. Soon you will notice that your body responds very differently then it used to. Concern: “I’ve tried so many different kinds of treatments and have spent so much money trying to get better already. I don’t want to be disappointed again.” Answer: Looking at your illness from a brain perspective and one that you can personally influence through neuroplasticity is probably different from anything that you’ve tried to date. Focus on the participants who have illnesses similar to yours who have had tremendous success with the training. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Chronic Pain Syndromes: Concern: “I have a lot of fatigue issues and I don’t know if I can make it through 3 full days of training. And even if I do manage to stay, I don’t know how much I can learn because my brain is so foggy.” Answer: This is a concern that most people with CFS have prior to the training. Most participants who had suffered with CFS actually find the workshop increases energy levels and decreases pain. They are often very surprised at how invigorated they feel. Trust that you will retain the information that you need to practice your training.
Concern: “I’ve had this illness longer than others and I don’t think it will work for me.” Answer: Duration of illness does not affect the results of training. Some people who have suffered with illness for over 30 years have tremendous shifts in health within 3 days, while for others it can take longer. A training practice of one hour daily is recommended for the first 6 months to promote, strengthen and reinforce neuroplastic changes. Concern: “My symptoms are much worse than others who have benefited from this training so I don’t think that it will work for me.” Answer: Severity of symptoms does not affect the results of the training. However if you have a belief that MCS is strictly an immune system illness that is systemic and therefore cannot be transformed, then your belief may get in the way of your potential success. Concern: “My symptoms are not as bad as others who have benefited from this training, so I don’t think it will work for me.” Answer: Whether your symptoms or mild or severe, they are the result of impaired limbic system function which can be corrected through neuroplasticity.
Concern: “I am somewhat sceptical of the training and whether or not it will work for me.” Answer: It is normal to be a bit sceptical about the training. Keep in mind that the science of neuroplasticity and the brain’s innate ability to heal various conditions is relatively new and hence, a somewhat foreign concept. This is why the book “The Brain That Changes Itself” by Dr. Norman Doidge or “Train Your Mind, Change Your Brain” by Sharon Begley is mandatory reading as course preparation. Your beliefs directly affect your brain and your body’s physiology. However, let me clarify that I do not believe that your thinking created your condition. Instead, I am suggesting that impaired limbic system function (your personal neurology) can be healed through specific psychological exercises that in turn shut off a conditioned and impaired automatic immune response. Frequency and consistency of your practice will either reinforce the new pathways or conversely revert back to old ones. Recommended daily training for six months is recommended regardless if your success is instant or progressive in nature. Repetition is key to creating permanent changes and lasting success.
"The brain controls the behaviour of the body’s cells. This is a very important point to consider as we blame the cells of our organs and tissues for the health issues we experience in our lives." – Dr. Bruce Lipton, Internationally Recognized Research Scientist and author of “The Biology of Belief” |
